Hojat-ol-Islam Mansour Amirahmadi, the international affairs deputy of the Office of the Leader’s Representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs, made the remark in an address to an international conference held in Tehran on Monday under the title of “Assassination of Martyr Haniyeh and Future of Resistance Front”.

He said the assassination will have impacts in the world at three levels, namely the resistance front, the West Asia region, and the world.

At the first level, it will bolster the resistance front, especially after the election of Yahya Sinwar to replace Haniyeh as the head of the Hamas resistance front’s political bureau, he stated.

This election showed that the approach and strategy of Hamas will not be undermined but will be strengthened, the cleric added.

Hojat-ol-Islam Mirahmadi said that the martyrdom of Haniyeh also led to the enhancement of unity in the resistance current across the West Asia region.

He said that at the world level, too, we are witnessing the expansion of resistance to beyond the region both at the popular level and at the level of elites and academics, especially in Western countries.
